Life Outdoors, Without the Hassle
Living in Florida comes with sunshine, warm evenings, and the kind of weather that makes you want to be outside. But as every local knows, enjoying that fresh air can be tricky when mosquitoes, harsh sun, or sudden downpours show up. That’s why adding a screened lanai is one of the most popular upgrades for homeowners across the state.
At AAA Pro Screening Inc., we’ve specialized in screened enclosures since 2005. Based in Palm Beach County, we’ve seen how a lanai can quickly become a favorite spot for families, turning patios and backyards into usable living spaces all year long.
What Is a Screened Lanai?
A lanai is a covered patio or veranda, common in tropical regions. Lanai designs in Florida take the traditional idea and improve it by adding screens, which keep out bugs, leaves, and debris. It’s the perfect balance between indoor comfort and outdoor freedom.
A screened lanai usually includes:
- A sturdy aluminum frame that supports the structure
- Durable screens that block insects while allowing air and light to flow through
- Roofing that shields from rain and sun
- Custom doors for easy access to the yard or pool area
The result is a space where you can relax, entertain, and dine without interruptions from pests or the weather.
Why Homeowners Love Screened Lanais
- Bug-Free Living: Florida mosquitoes and no-see-ums don’t stand a chance against well-installed screening. A lanai lets you enjoy evenings outside without the constant need for bug spray.
- Weather Protection: Sudden showers are part of Florida life. With a roof overhead, your outdoor time doesn’t have to end when the rain begins.
- More Usable Space: A screened lanai adds livable square footage to your home. It’s a natural extension of your indoor space—perfect for coffee in the morning or game nights with friends.
- Boosts Property Value: Buyers in Florida look for screened outdoor areas. Adding one makes your home more appealing and competitive in the real estate market.
- Low Maintenance: By keeping out leaves, dirt, and debris, a lanai makes your outdoor furniture and flooring easier to maintain.
The Florida Lifestyle and Lanais
In Florida, these enclosures are almost a necessity. They fit perfectly with the relaxed, outdoor-focused lifestyle. Instead of rushing indoors when the sun gets too hot or the bugs come out, you can stay comfortable in a shaded, screened space.
Many families use their lanai as a multi-purpose area—some set up dining tables, others build small outdoor kitchens, and many create lounge areas with couches and TVs. Whatever your vision, a screened lanai brings it to life in a way that suits Florida weather and lifestyle.
Our Approach to Building a Screened Lanai
At AAA Pro Screening, we know every lanai is different. We build each structure on site with precise measurements and materials that hold up to Florida’s conditions. Here’s how we handle it:
- Consultation and Estimate: We meet with you to discuss your ideas, measure your space, and give a clear, upfront estimate. No surprises, no vague promises.
- High-Quality Materials: We use aluminum frames that resist rust, strong screening that doesn’t sag, and roofing that won’t leak.
- On-Site Precision: Unlike competitors who install prefabricated panels, we cut and fit everything on site. This creates a seamless, sturdy structure with no awkward gaps.
- Expert Installation: Every screw, spline, and seal is handled carefully so your lanai is built to last.
- Thorough Cleanup: We don’t just leave when the job is done. We make sure your yard and patio are as clean as before we arrived.
Options for Your Screened Lanai
A lanai can be as simple or as detailed as you want. Here are some features we often include:
- Pet-Resistant Screens for homeowners with dogs or cats
- Privacy Screens that block outside views while letting air and light flow in
- Custom Doors for easy pool or garden access
- Super Gutters to handle Florida’s heavy rains without water pooling near your home
Every lanai we build is designed to feel like part of your home rather than an afterthought.
Stories from Our Clients
One homeowner in Boca Raton told us she barely used her backyard before we built her screened lanai. The mosquitoes were just too much. Now, her family eats dinner outside almost every evening.
Another client in Lake Worth wanted a quiet reading space that stayed dry even in the rain. We built a lanai with insulated roofing, and he says it’s now his favorite spot in the house.
These are the kinds of stories we hear again and again—people gaining a space they truly enjoy, instead of an outdoor area that collects dust and debris.

Think about your mornings with coffee outside, your evenings hosting friends, or your weekends enjoying family barbecues. Without screens, all those moments come with hassles—mosquito bites, rain interruptions, or constant cleaning.
With a screened lanai, those hassles disappear. Your outdoor living becomes part of your daily life, not just something you do occasionally. That’s the real value: a space that feels natural, comfortable, and always ready for use.
