Understanding Super Gutters

Super gutters, also known as oversized gutters, are designed to handle larger volumes of water compared to standard gutters. They are especially beneficial in areas prone to heavy rainfall, such as Lake Worth, FL. Super gutters are typically wider and deeper, ensuring efficient water flow and minimizing the risk of overflow or water damage to your property. These gutters are often used in conjunction with pool enclosures and lanais to provide superior drainage and support for the structures.

Common Causes of Super Gutter Leaks

There are several common causes of super gutter leaks that homeowners should be aware of:

Clogged Gutters: Debris such as leaves, twigs, and dirt can accumulate in your super gutters, obstructing the flow of water and causing it to overflow or seep through joints and seams.
Wear and Tear: Over time, the constant exposure to water and the elements can cause the materials in your super gutter system to deteriorate, leading to cracks, holes, and leaks.
Improper Installation: This is the main problem at every super gutter installation. Poor installation practices can result in misaligned sections, insufficient sealing, and other issues that contribute to leaks.
Seam Separation: The seams where sections of the gutter meet can become separated or loose, allowing water to escape.
Structural Damage: Damage to the surrounding structure, such as the pool cage or patio, can impact the integrity of the super gutter system and cause leaks.
